Finding The Resources You Need In Australian Catholics

Staff 26 March 2020

Australian Catholics is a valuable resource for online learning in religious education. Articles can be used to provoke reflection and discussion, and students themselves could be directed to the site for assignments. Here’s a starter guide for teachers and students using our resources for online learning.

There are a few ways to find the articles and resources you’re looking for on our website.

USE OUR RESOURCE FINDER

Our Resource Finder is the best place to start your search. Search articles by year level, resource type, curriculum topic and other common topics - you can even search for articles by date. You can narrow the search for just prayer and liturgy resources, or do a keyword search to explore all the resources we have related to a particular topic.

CHECK OUT OUR AC+ RESOURCE GUIDES

If you're looking to bring together resources for an upcoming unit, take a look at our Resource Guides to see if we've already done the work for you. We've created collections of resources on a range of common curriculum topics and themes, including the sacraments, human dignity, Holy Week and Lent, caring for creation and other social justice issues. There are even guides with session ideas to help plan your student retreats.

Check out our resource guides here.

OTHER WAYS TO FIND RESOURCES

Plan for upcoming key dates with our Catholic Teacher Calendar. Resources for upcoming feast days and international events can be found using our Catholic Teacher Calendar. The calendar can also be added to your smartphone or desktop calendar, so you can access it from there as well.

Browse through past editions. Each edition of Australian Catholics explores a different theme. Whatever your current RE topic is, you can find a range of articles related to that theme by clicking on a relevant edition.
