Recipe: Apple and Raspberry Bircher Pots

My Apple and Raspberry Bircher Pots are a great timesaver when it comes to brekkie.

Not only do they look tasty thanks to the raspberry ripple layer between the muesli; they're quick and easy to prepare and are a great way to enjoy oats without the hassle of stovetop or microwave cooking!


  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 granny smith apple, unpeeled, washed and grated
  • 1/2 cup low-fat yoghurt
  • 1/2 cup apple juice or milk
  • pinch of cinnamon, to taste
  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
  • extra frozen raspberries and apple slices to serve


Place two clean 150ml glass jars or tumblers on a baking tray. Place the oats, grated apple, yoghurt, juice (or milk) and cinnamon into a medium mixing bowl and stir to combine.

Place two tablespoons of the mixture into the base of each jar, spread to flatten the mix slightly, then top with a layer of frozen raspberries.

Repeat the layering process for both jars.

Cover the jars with cling wrap and place in the fridge overnight to set.

To serve top the jars with extra berries and apple slices and serve.
