Gaming the Gospels: My Garden of Eden

26 May 2020

This game could be done individually, or in groups.

Read the students the account of the creation of the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:1 – 24). Now give the students a task:

They have been given the opportunity from God to build their own Garden of Eden, bringing with them seven things to make their new home a paradise. What seven things would they bring? Think of things that will sustain you in your home – caring for your physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

The students might like to illustrate their Gardens of Eden in a poster. At the end of the activity, ask the students to share what they included in their Garden of Eden. What were the things that they felt would make their home most like a paradise? How does their vision of the Garden of Eden help them appreciate the gifts that God has given us in our world right now?
