Australian Catholic Social Justice Council Set up by the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference (ACBC) in 1987 as the national justice and peace agency of the Catholic Church in Australia to promote research, education, advocacy and action on social justice, peace and human rights, integrating them deeply into the life of the whole Catholic community in Australia, and providing a credible Catholic voice on these matters in Australian society. 

Catholic Social Services Australia The Catholic Church's peak national body for social services in Australia. Its 63 member organisations provide social services to over a million Australians a year, delivering services in local communities in metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. Working with Catholic organisations, governments, other churches and all people of good will, to develop social welfare policies, programs and other strategic responses that work towards the economic, social and spiritual well-being of the Australian community, CSSA is a commission of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference (ACBC).

Jesuit Social Services Works to build a just society where all people can live to their full potential - by partnering with community to support those most in need and working to change policies, practices, ideas and values that perpetuate inequality, prejudice and exclusion.

Faith Doing Justice Aims to provide the public with easy access to the growing resources in the field of social justice, and users with plain explanations of Catholic social teaching. Resources on the Faith Doing Justice website have a wide application and can be used for lesson planning, class activities, small group reflection, discussion, a source extract for school newsletters and parish bulletins, in the planning of prayer and liturgy in schools and parishes.

Catholic Womens League The national peak body representing the League's six member organisations located throughout Australia. Addressing social justice and ethical questions. 

Caritas For over 110 years, Caritas has worked towards the creation of a just world. In 1964, Caritas began in Australia, part of a global network that spans over 200 countries and territories. A Catholic Agency for International Aid and Development, Caritas is Latin for love + compassion – two qualities which are central to our work. 

Catholic Mission is the official mission aid agency of the Catholic Church, continuing the mission of Jesus Christ in the world. Catholic Mission reaches out, gives life and calls all people in the world to faith, justice and love. Operating in over 160 countries to support initiatives in 1100 dioceses, including remote Australia.  

Jesuit Mission Jesuit Mission links together friends in Australia and New Zealand who wish to support the mission of the Jesuits in the developing world... working among the the poor and vulnerable, building bridges across religious, cultural, economic and social divides.

Aid To The Church In Need An international Catholic charity dependent on the Holy See, providing pastoral relief to needy and oppressed churches.

 

 

 

Non Catholic Organisations

Childrens Charity Network a Victorian based not-for-profit organisation, which acts as an umbrella for different programs/initiatives. Its main aim is to build, foster and nurture confidence and self-esteem in all children.
